Ecommerce Website Design:
What Your Web Designer May Not Want You To Know
Ecommerce website design is made for what it's called, ecommerce. It's purpose is to facilitate immediate, real time transactions online. Driving traffic to it... is your job. But more times than not, webmasters all tout their hold you by the hand; help you create a business from the ground up; do it all for you service in no time flat; and they leave out the fact that if you don't already have a steady source of targeted free traffic, you're just whistling in the wind! This site is about building free targeted traffic that you own. To get that traffic to your primary site, you need to build a funnel site(s). A funnel site is a theme or niche based site on a topic related to your target market. Your funnel site will attract targeted visitors from the search engines. Once these targeted visitors arrive at your site they will find that you've provided them with even more good information than they expected. You then refer those visitors to your related products or services at your primary site. Give people what they are really looking for. Information, solutions, content. Then build more funnel sites on other topics related to your products or services. It should be noted that I do not recommend trying to "trick" the search engines, they eventually catch up with you. It isn't about the new system, magic formulas, tricks or "never revealed before secrets." It's about keeping it real. It's about your perspective, your take and your experience.
